My best hair tips and tricks

If there is one question I get asked over and over and OVER again – it’s about my hair. Well, I’ve had long hair pretty much my whole life but few years ago I've struggled with hair loss, fall and strength. I reckon that it happened because of too much chemicals products doing blonde in salons, also stress and lack of vitamins. Since then, I’ve taken more care into my health, how I treat my hair and today I’m sharing my favourite tips and tricks that works really well for me.

Go Natural

This is so important. I know that we love to feel pretty and sometimes have some changes in the hair using blow dryers, straightners and curlers but if we use them everyday they can ruin our hair and when you realize it can be late. The best to do is to use it when you really need or have something special like a party, event, meeting or even when you feel that you need, but not everyday. Try to use your hair in a different style in a ponytail, in a bun or using some accessories. The more you leave your hair natural more it will be strong and easy to take care.

Coconut Oil: I've been using for about 7 years almost every week and it makes total difference since then. I had my hair weak and thin because of balayages and chemicals, so I just start to use it and I loved immediately. The result is amazing! You can feel your hair shine and soft after wash. What I do: I always use when my hair is messy and I need to wash, but you can feel when do you need it. I pick one table spoon of coconut oil extra virgen and I apply on the edges (never on the root). Then you leave for about 2 hours in a bun and wash it twice applying conditioner normally. Go shine!

Shampoo & Conditioner

This is very particular but I recommend you to find a great shampoo & conditioner to use every day and another type to treat your hair sometimes alternating with you every day products. I also recommend to use mascaras every week, to moisturize and recover from damages. I consider myself very luck because for my hair the only shampoo and conditioner that works well is Pantene. It is cheap and sells every where. Then I like to alternate with other brands because I love trying different products and brands. Also, I like to treat my hair with different purposes to improve my blonde colour or find a home made deep treatment.

I also love a awesome mascara that I'm using since I arrived in Australia: Essence Ultime from Schwarzkopf.

As I'm always at the beach my hair can be very dry and I love to take care every week moisturizing and nourishing with mascaras. This week I tried this sachet to use one time and I loved it! It's a trully deep repairing.

Let a Professional Cut and Colour your Hair

I normally like to go to a salon just to cut, colour and if I have a special event. Otherwise I prefer to take care every day by myself what I love to do. It is self care! But specially living abroad I could see many friends cutting and colouring by themselves and I really do not recommend. I think it is important to go one day in a salon and talk with a professional, enjoy this time and they are specialists!

For all girls that want a long hair it is pretty hard to do balayage and have a healthy hair. So my tip is to do colour (blond) twice per year and try to do more on the edges (not on the roots) and cut each 3 months because is important to grow healthy as well.

Take Extra Vitamins

For about two years I have been taking vitamins to help my hair grow healthier and natural. I believe in beauty inside out and balance. So vitamins will give you extra benefits not only for your hair but skin and nails. I'm loving Go Healthy vitamins because is natural and helps with collagen to improve skin appearance including fine lines.
