Spit Bridge to Manly Walk - Best Sydney Walks

The Spit Bridge to Manly walk is a beautiful 10 km trail with stunning panoramic ocean views, native bushland and lovely bays to chill and relax while hiking.

The walk forms part of the infamous 20km Manly Scenic Walkway that runs from the Spit all the way to Manly.

The walk will take around 3 to 5 hours to complete, so if you’re keen to do the complete walk, you’ll be hiking for at least 6 hours.

Spit Bridge

The Spit Bridge connects the suburbs of Mosman and Seaforth. The middle section of the bridge can be raised to allow ships to get through.

I started my walk enjoying a bit of my day at Chinamans beach, in Mosman and than walked towards Spit Bridge, easy to find the way.

There are about 16 places of interest along the walk, listed below, worth pausing for the view or to learn more about Sydney’s history.

#1: Ellery’s Punt Reserve #2: Fisher Bay ‘Midden’ #3: Fisher Bay Houseboat #4: Sandy Bay, Hawkesbury Sandstone #5: Clontarf Reserve #6: Clontarf Pumping Station #7: Castle Rock Beach #8: Grotto Point Lighthouse #9: Grotto Point Aboriginal Engraving Site #10: Crater Cove #11: Dobroyd Head #12: Reef Beach #13: Forty Baskets Beach #14: North Harbour Reserve #15: Fairlight House #16: Manly Wharf

You can do the opposite side as well starting at Manly Wharf until Mosman!

Before you go

It's important to bring a bottle of water and some snacks!

Enjoy :)
